The Parish Council

Bassingbourn-cum-Kneesworth Parish Council, alongside South Cambridgeshire District Council and Cambridgeshire County Council, provides the local government for the village.

The origin of parish councils can be traced back to the parochial authorities of the Church. The influence of these parochial authorities diminished and parish councils were then reformed as part of local government in 1894.

On these pages you will find a list of the current members of Bassingbourn-cum-Kneesworth Parish Council and information about current meetings.

Bassingbourn-cum-Kneesworth Parish Council is a member of CPALC - the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Association of Local Councils - http://www.cpalc.org.uk
